  Kathryn Alvarez (Director, Instructor since 1989)
   

Business degree from University of South Florida. Graduate of Seminole High & Loraine's Academy. Instructor with additional experience in corporate and real estate management, construction, marketing, development of budgets, hairdressing and art.

   

  Nancy Fordham (Administrator, Instructor since 1978)
   

Has a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of South Florida. Graduated from Seminole High and Loraine's Cosmetology Program. Instructor whose background includes teaching, modeling and business as well as hair and makeup artistry with a photography agency.

  Tony Balchen (Instructor)
   

Specialist in men's cutting, clipper work, cosmetology theory, and client relations. Loraine's graduate, salon management experienced.

  Derek Bryant (Instructor)
    Loraine's Graduate.  Specializes in ethnic and barber styling, particularly braiding and clipper cutting.
  Amaris Centofanti (Instructor)
   

Owns "Amaris' Aesthetics" Medical Esthetics practice at the office of Dr. Tom Adams and Amaris' Medi Institute. Loraine's graduate. Specializes in Advanced Microdermabrasion and Peels. Teaches Advanced Clinical Facial Specialists.

  Michael Della Penna (Barber Instructor)
   

A Master Educator, Official Trainer for the USA Teams at the World Championship Hairdressing Competitions and Instructor of Cosmetology and Barbering Worldwide. Loraine's Instructor graduate. Has won more than 20 American Hairdressing Championships, is a European Champion and a four time USA Team Member. Styles have been published in Passion Magazine, Modern and American Salon, Estetica Magazine, and Cosmopolitan Magazine. Teaches the Advanced Styling Bootcamp. Awarded Loraines Academy Dedication to Education award in 2007.

  Patricia Hoel (Instructor)
   

Salon Esthetician and former salon owner. Trained in Esthetics in New York. Specializes in medical esthetics. Director of Loraine's Academy Advanced Clinical Esthetics Program. Medical Esthetician at office of Dr. Randy Buckspan, plastic surgeon.

  Donna Holck (Instructor)
   

Nail Tech since 1979. Has worked for manufacturers, participated in trade shows, owned and operated salons, and has extensive teaching experience and much advanced training.

  Nancy Irving (Instructor)
   

Specialty Team Leader. Salon Esthetician, Registered Nurse, and Loraine's graduate. Specializes in skincare, makeup, and waxing. Recipient of Loraine's Dedication to Education Award for 2006.

Previous trainer for Redken and Sebastian. Evening program supervisor. Competition and salon experience. Recipient of Loraine's Dedication to Education Award for 2005.

  Sherry O'Brien (Instructor)
   

Specialist in client relations, general cosmetology skills and nail technology. Loraine's graduate, salon experienced. Certified Tammy Taylor Instructor

  Sandy Patnode LMT (Instructor)
   

Medical Esthetician and Licensed Massage Therapist with extensive spa management experience. On the team at Amaris' Medi Institute.  Specializes in Spa Therapies and Equipment.

  Beth Sheedy (Instructor)
   

Cosmetology Team Leader. Specialist in student assistance, retailing, computerized student records, curriculum coordination, student education and customer relations. Recipient of Loraine's Dedication to Education Award for 1999.

  Jaclyn Sirmons (Instructor)
   

Previously an educator for Great Clips, she specializes in teaching cutting, color correction, up-do techniques and retailing.

  Jean Torrealba (Bilingual Instructor)
   

Honors graduate of both Cosmetology and Nail Tech programs at Loraine's Academy. Salon management experience, and has a passion for teaching.

  Dr. Mark Brinson (Instructor)
   

Doctor of Oriental Medicine, LMT, & Personal Trainer. Director of Massage Program at Loraine's. He has been a therapist specializing in Myofacial Release and Rehabilitation since 1991. He brings a wealth of information from his strong manual medicine and anatomy background. Currently a seminar provider for NMT and MFR and has a private practice, Brinson Therapeutics. National and State Board Certified Pain and Injury Rehab Specialist.

  Dr. Stan Grimmel (Instructor)
   

LMT. DC Chiropractic Physician and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. Graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, he practiced in Maine for over 16 years. Therapeutic Massage Graduate of Loraine's Academy. Has also owned several other businesses in the service industry

  Julie Kaplan (Instructor)
   

LMT, DOM Doctor of Oriental Medicine (Accupuncture Physician) and Licensed Massage Therapist who specializes in teaching our students Shiatsu and other Eastern massage modalities.

  Dr. Brower Yerger (Instructor)
   

Chiropractic Physician, specializing in Anatomy and Physiology classes. Has practiced in the Tampa Bay area for 16 years and was prior Mayor of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Prior Instructor at Lincoln Chiropractic College, Indianapolis, Indiana. Teaches the Anatomy and Physiology classes.

  Susan Bullard (Instructor)
   

LMT, NMT Loraine's Graduate who practices with Dr. Brower Yerger at his chiropractic clinic. She specializes in deep tissue or neuromuscular therapy.

  Sandy Patnode LMT (Instructor)
   

Licensed Massage Therapist and Medical Esthetician with extensive spa management experience. On the team at Amaris' Medi Institute.  Specializes in Spa Therapies.

  Angie Russette LaHue (Instructor. Team Leader)
   

BA, LMT, Massage Program Director. Alumnus of Loraine's Therapeutic Massage program.

  Connie Perry (Instructor)
   

LMT, Studied Manual Lymphatic Drainage at the Upledger Institute. Specializes in Body Mechanics, Ethics, Techniques, Energy Work and Structural Work.

Handles appointments and sign-in at the front desk. Coordinates clinic activities.

  Geri Foley (Front Desk Coordinator/ Administrative Assist/Librarian)
   

Handles appointments and sign-in at the front desk. Coordinates clinic activities. Assists students in filing for licensure and use of the media center as well as varied student record keeping.

  Judy Ramaglia (Director of Admissions and Placement)
   

Works with each student from first inquiry to career placement and beyond. Licensed Cosmetologist, former salon owner.

  Aurelia Robertson (Dispensary Technician)
   

Prepares products for school clinics and trains students in dispensary procedures such as mixing color.

  Tana Smith (Financial Aid Assistant, Curriculum Specialist)
   

Assists school-wide, sharing her skills with the specialty departments and the administrative offices, including the Financial Aid department.

  Mily Tang (Administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper)
    With her bookkeeping and accounting experience, she is a valuable member of our team.
  Luba Weidler (Financial Aid Director)
   

Experience in bookkeeping, credit, and office management. Stays updated with annual Federal Student Aid training.
